1.Product
- Cheju mandarins are similar to Japan's because it came from Japan,
but the taste is distinguished due to the climate and the soil. Cheju
mandarin's peculiarity is in the sour taste due to a little more acidity
than the Japanese onse. Especially, Cheju mandarins are loved as a dessert
after having meals because it makes your feel refreshed.
2.Cultivation Methods
There are three different cultivation methods used for the Cheju mandarins.
One is the natural cultivation method, another is the sheltered cultivation
method, and the last method is the green house method.
- The natural cultivation method(for Original Mandarin Orange)
is a method used to produce mandarins without using any modern technologies
to enhanced the products in any such ways. This method of cultivation
is able to be harvested around October - December and can be ready to
be shipped.
- The sheltered cultivation method(for Bigarim Mandarin Orange)
is a method used just the same way as the natural cultivation method
except that the mandarins are sheltered in a vinyl house so that the
rain would not effect the mandarins, but yet still being able to get
the sunlight from the sun. Due to this method the mandarins have thinner
layered skin and higher sugar brix than the natural cultivation. This
method of cultivation is able to be harvested around January - April
and can be ready to be shipped.
- The green house method(for House Mandarin Orange) is somewhat
of a combination of both the natural cultivation method as well as the
sheltered cultivation method with an addition of using modern technologies
of heating system. The mandarins are sheltered in a vinyl house to keep
the panatrated heat within the house and heated by heating system. Due
to this method the mandarins have thinner layered skin and higher sugar
brix than the natural cultivation. This cultivation is able to be harvested
around May to October and can be ready to be shipped.
